Early in the day, and preparations were in earnest,
important family members were cajoled into polishing the boat..
while some had to wash away the travel miles unaided..
the early birds had their boats ready
before the committee had finished lunch!
... then the hustle and bustle began...
It was a launch into the rolling surf once again at Keppel Bay,
.. a sail to the start line..
the recue teams were poised for action..
The timing sequence began..
and they were racing
there was plenty of action, wind and water,

    there were bursts of sunshine  races within races,  the front runners       the young and the brave                               we saw persistence and determination..  there were plenty of ups and downs..    it was all smiles ...   to the finish ..  |
